The Veil House is a two bedroom new build house in Camden London.
The concept for the house is one of a woven brick veil with a bamboo interior. The brick veil provides privacy for the living spaces and also gives dappled light to the spaces. The bamboo interior forms stairs, walls, joinery and flooring.
A series of roof lights drop natural light into the living spaces. Structurally the dwelling is very minimal with the use of exposed concrete floors and soffits, exposed timber joists and block walls. Attention to detail allows for bespoke light fittings and joinery. The scheme is currently being prepared for planning.
